Job summary

OVERLANDPARK in is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the Staff OT with resident care and related activities in a healthcare setting.

The role requires an Associate Degree in a COTA program, state licensure, and ability to document accurately. Training on equipment and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team are essential for discharge planning and progress updates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in compliance with requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
• Educate residents and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs.
• Assist with training of Restorative Aides and staff as needed.
