Job summary

Maple Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a warm, collaborative team in a PRN capacity. You will provide occupational therapy services under supervision, support individualized treatment plans, and contribute to resident independence within an in-house therapy program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapist and assists in initial evaluations.
• Implements treatment for assigned patients per the established plan of care.
• Complies with state and federal guidelines for accurate and timely documentation and billing.
• Maintains patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff.
• Provides direct supervision to rehabilitation technicians during group and individual treatments.
• Participates in utilization review, case management, care conferences, and meetings as directed by the OT.
• Maintains awareness of changes in patient conditions and communicates progress timely.
• Keeps patient, facility, and organizational information confidential.
• Performs duties ethically, legally, and professionally, and undertakes other tasks as assigned.
