Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license required in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred but not mandatory depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team as needed.
• Educates patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards.
• Operates medical equipment (IV pumps, monitors, ventilators) as required.
• Participates in audits and performance improvement initiatives.
• Documents care thoroughly in the medical record.
