Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide direct rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing facility setting. The OT will work with physicians to implement treatment plans, assess progress, and support patient goals within Life Care standards.

Eligible candidates are NBCOT certified at hire, hold an active state license, and may have 1 year of experience or be a new graduate. CPR must be current.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification required at hire; renewal optional later.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).
• Active state occupational therapy license in good standing.
• 1 year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation; must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Follow occupational treatment plans for activities of daily living.
• Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable goals.
• Oversee and evaluate care provided by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students.
• Document care in charts in a timely manner.
• Utilize therapy software and maintain patient records.
• Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Education
