Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an OT to provide direct rehab care in occupational therapy for patients referred by physicians, in a post-acute setting. The role operates within a skilled nursing environment with a focus on functional progress and patient-centered care.

The OT will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, adhere to Life Care standards, and maintain licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification upon hire; renewal optional
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable state with an active license
• 1 year of experience preferred; new grads welcome
• CPR certification upon hire and maintained during employment

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
• Liaises with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs
• Demonstrates good body mechanics at all times
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Knowledge of post-acute care facility laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Implements and interprets department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Performs competencies in areas including patient rights and safety/sanitation
