Job summary

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification required upon hire, renewal optional
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
• Currently registered/licensed in the applicable state with active license
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
• CPR certification required upon hire and must remain current

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
• Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for patient needs
• Must demonstrate good body mechanics and sound judgment
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Follow occupational treatment plans for patients (activities of daily living)
• Oversee and evaluate care given by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
