Job summary

PACS in Houston, TX seeks an experienced LPN/LVN to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. The role includes coordinating shifts, maintaining nursing procedures, charting, and ensuring compliance with policies and patient care plans.

The candidate must hold a Nursing Degree, an active LPN/LVN license, and CPR certification. English proficiency is required; PCC knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with facility policies.
• Develop and maintain Nursing Service procedures and discharge plans.
• Complete charting and documentation accurately and promptly.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician and ensure narcotic records are accurate.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel and conduct regular rounds.
