Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images across sites. You will manage contrast safety, operate EMR/PACS/DICOM, and collaborate with radiologists and staff.

Requirements include ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, state licensure as applicable, CPR/BLS, and 3+ years of experience. The role requires flexibility for mobile or multi-site work and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT
• State license, if applicable required
• CPR Certification, BLS from AHA or ARC. ACLS certification where applicable
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience
• Ability to work at several locations
• Strong customer service skills
• Organizational, multi-tasking, and critical thinking skills
• Local travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic images in accordance with imaging protocols.
• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening and access controls.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients and staff.
• Demonstrate competency in contrast safety and administration.
• Train and orient new technologists and staff as needed.
• Perform or assist with MRI procedures across sites.
