Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images while ensuring patient safety and protocol compliance. The role requires ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification where applicable, CPR/BLS, and the ability to cover multiple sites on a per-diem basis.

Experience of at least three years, familiarity with EMR/PACS/DICOM, and strong communication skills are essential. Travel between locations may be required, with flexibility in shifts and coverage.

Qualifications

• Certified MR technologist with ARRT MR or ARMRIT as allowable by contract.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience; ability to work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images per protocols and ARRT/ARMRIT standards.
• Ensure patient safety through screening and proper contrast administration.
• Operate and troubleshoot MR equipment and injection devices; maintain equipment competency.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and staff; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Train new technologists and coordinators on site or remotely as needed.
