Job summary

Akumin Inc. in Palm Harbor, FL is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and deliver high-quality diagnostic images. You will ensure patient safety, manage contrast administration, and maintain documentation according to imaging protocols.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, state licensure if applicable, CPR/BLS, and at least 3 years of MRI experience. You must be able to travel between Boot Ranch and Trinity sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification from AHA or ARC; ACLS where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at multiple locations; local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images per protocols and standards.
• Ensure patient safety and pre-screening for contraindications.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Demonstrate competency with MRI equipment, power injection, and image sharing systems.
• Train or orient junior staff as needed; coordinate with radiologists.
