Job summary

Mercy Health's Allen Hospital is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging (screening, diagnostic, invasive and DEXA) under ARRT/ACR guidelines. This PRN role requires patient-focused care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with supervising physicians.

You will ensure safety, support quality improvements, and educate patients throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography preferred or within 1 year.
• State licensure preferred where required.
• BLS certification required at hire for certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Performs breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist with invasive breast procedures.
• Documents clinical history and communicates with the licensed provider.
• Selects imaging equipment and exposure factors to obtain quality images.
• Adheres to radiation safety and patient safety protocols.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in quality assurance and department improvement plans.
