Job summary

Mercy Health Allen Hospital in Oberlin, OH is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging and DEXA scans in accordance with ARRT, ACR, and MQSA guidelines. This PRN, as-needed position supports the diagnostic imaging team and patient care.

You will assist radiologists, select imaging equipment, protect patients from exposure, provide education, and participate in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology required.
• Advanced Mammography modality registration preferred or must obtain within 1 year.
• State licensure preferred where the job is performed.

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique.
• Correlates clinical history with procedures and documents information.
• Selects and operates breast imaging equipment and exposure factors.
• Applies radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Ensures patient safety during all procedures.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
