Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a full-time Special Procedures Tech. As our Technologist, you will operate diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in procedures such as angiography, cardiac catheterization, and interventional radiology (scrubbing, circulating, monitoring). Patient care is our priority.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing procedures with accountability, responsibility, and compassion.
  • Preparing and positioning patients and equipment safely and competently.
  • Performing radiographic procedures accurately and timely.
  • Administering contrast media per departmental policies.
  • Obtaining high-quality radiographs and reviewing image quality.
  • Gathering patient information and obtaining informed consent.
  • Communicating effectively with patients and radiologists.
  • Participating in rotating call duties.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associates Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Current ARRT credential; RCIS considered with IR experience.
  • At least 2 years of licensed radiology experience, including 1 year in IR.
  • 18 months in special procedures; Angio, Peripheral, Neuro experience a plus.
  • BLS required at hire; ACLS within 6 months.
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
