Qualifications

Summary of Job Duties: This posting will be used to fill multiple positions. The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist produces radiographic images for medical interpretation, interacts with healthcare staff, clerical staff, patients, families, and visitors. Responsible for performing correct radiologic exams and producing high-quality images.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved Radiology program – ARRT Registry or registry eligible
  • New graduate or less than one year of experience
  • ARRT national registry, State of Arkansas Radiation License
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Degree
  • More than one year of experience in diagnostic radiology or related field

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performing optimal x-rays, able to lift 25 lbs or more
  • Rotating through modalities, including portables, surgery, fluoroscopy, emergency department, and coverage at UAMS Health Specialty Center
  • Communicating with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians
  • Ongoing education and learning of new procedures
  • Answering phones and coordinating with hospital floors
  • Moving C-ARM and OARM equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

Constant: Hearing, finger manipulation, sitting, standing, talking, walking

Frequent: Grasping, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching

Occasional: Stooping
