Helms Home Care is seeking a registered nurse to provide infusion therapy in patients' homes on a PRN basis in Richmond, VA. The role includes catheter care, IV meds, vitals, and patient education, with notes submitted electronically.

Applicants must hold an active RN license and have at least 1 year in infusion therapy or catheter maintenance. Reliable transportation and scheduling communication are required; expect two visits per week.

Competenze

• Current Registered Nurse license with competence in infusion therapy and catheter care.
• Minimum 1 year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance.
• Reliable transportation and access to printing/scanning/faxing.
• Able to communicate promptly with scheduling personnel.

Mansioni

• Perform catheter access & care, vitals, and medication administration as needed.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medications.
• Submit visit notes promptly via electronic charting.
• Complete two home visits per week to patients.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws


• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication


• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

Qualifications: Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above


• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care


• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine


• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel


• Expect to do 2 visits per week


• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
