Job summary

Helms Home Care is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide infusion therapy nursing services to patients in their homes in Abingdon, VA. This PRN home infusion role offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay.

Requirements include an active RN license, at least 1 year of infusion therapy or catheter maintenance experience, reliable transportation, and ability to perform catheter access, vitals, meds administration, and patient education. Two visits per week are typical.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 1 year infusion therapy experience or catheter maintenance.
• Reliable transportation to patient homes.
• Ability to communicate promptly with scheduling personnel.
• Expect to do 2 visits per week.
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds).
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication.
• Submit visit notes through electronic charting in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

Qualifications: Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
