Job summary

Helms Home Care in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide in-home infusion therapy, perform catheter care, monitor vitals, administer medications, and educate patients.

Requirements include an active RN license, at least 1 year of infusion therapy experience, reliable transportation, and the ability to complete two visits per week; mileage reimbursement and other benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 1 year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care.
• Reliable transportation and access to printer/scanner/fax machine.

Responsibilities

• As per patient needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication.
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly.

• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
