Job summary

Helms Home Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide infusion therapy in patients' homes on a PRN basis in the Richmond, VA area. You will perform catheter access, administer medications, monitor vitals, and educate patients on self-administration of therapy.

This role requires at least 1 year of infusion experience, reliable transportation, and an active RN license. Mileage reimbursement and team support are provided as part of a flexible PRN schedule.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to communicate promptly with scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, ports, PICC/central lines) and vitals/assessments
• Administer medications (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds)
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

Responsibilities

• As per patients’ needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self‑administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license with competence in the duties described above
• Minimum 1‑year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
