Job summary

Helms Home Care seeks a PRN Home Infusion RN to perform catheter access, administer therapies, and conduct patient assessments in in-home settings.

You will draw blood, educate patients on self-administration, and document visits. Requires an RN license and at least 1 year in infusion therapy, plus reliable transportation and valid insurance; expect about two visits per week.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license with competence in the duties described above.
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care.
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine.
• Must be able to communicate promptly with scheduling personnel.
• Expectation to complete 2 visits per week.
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access and care—including peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines—as needed by patients.
• Conduct vitals/assessments and administer medications (abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds).
• Perform blood draws.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication.
• Document visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly.
