Job summary

Helms Home Care is seeking a PRN Home Infusion RN to perform catheter access, monitor vitals, administer medications, and draw blood during in-home visits in the Brodnax, VA area.

Must hold an active RN license with at least 1 year in infusion therapy or catheter care. Reliable transportation and prompt communication with scheduling are required; two visits per week are expected.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation and access to a printer/scanner/fax machine.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, ports, PICCs/central lines), vitals/assessments, meds administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication.
• Submit visit notes through electronic charting promptly.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
