Job summary

Helms Home Care in Franklin, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide infusion therapy nursing services in patients' homes on a PRN basis. Responsibilities include catheter access, IV infusions, and patient education.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year infusion therapy experience, a valid RN license, reliable transportation, and the ability to schedule multiple visits per week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
