Job summary

Helms Home Care in Leesburg, VA is seeking registered nurses to provide infusion therapy in patients' homes. You will perform catheter access and IV care, and administer antibiotics, TPN, IVIG, and other meds while monitoring vitals and patient response.

You will educate patients on self-administration, document visits in the electronic charting system, and coordinate with scheduling staff. Competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, and benefits are offered with multiple weekly visits and growth

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing and qualified for infusion therapy duties.
• Minimum 1 year of infusion therapy or catheter maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation and access to printer/scanner/fax.

Responsibilities

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
