Job summary

Helms Home Care is seeking registered nurses for PRN infusion therapy in patients' homes in Wilmington, NC. Roles involve catheter access, vitals, medication administration, and patient education. Two visits per week are expected; mileage is reimbursed and supplies provided.

A Free IRA with 3% company match and health benefits are available. Candidates must hold a current RN license, have at least 1 year in infusion therapy or catheter care, reliable transportation, and be able to coordinate

Qualifications

• Current RN license and competent in infusion duties.
• Minimum 1 year experience in infusion therapy or catheter care.
• Reliable transportation and access to basic office equipment.
• Effective communication with scheduling staff.
• Expect to complete 2 visits per week.
• Licensed driver with valid auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, ports, PICCs/central lines).
• Measure vitals and conduct assessments.
• Administer medications including antibiotics, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds.
• Educate patients on self-administration of medications.
• Submit visit notes through electronic charting promptly.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
