Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies’ Dignity Care Hospice is seeking a Home Health Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on support to patients at home in Akron, OH. This role emphasizes personal care, nutrition assistance, vitals, mobility support, and medication supervision as outlined by the care plan.

The ideal candidate meets state requirements, holds an STNA license for Ohio, is 18+, and can work with little supervision. CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Meets training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws.
• Must have a valid STNA license in the state of Ohio.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Active CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care to patients including bathing, changing bed linens, assisting with dressing, etc.
• Preparing nutritious meals and assisting in feeding.
• Taking vitals such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Assisting in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care.
• Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as needed.
• Assisting patients in the self-administration of medications.
• Reporting on patients’ conditions and significant changes to the RN.
