Advocate Health in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a part-time Emergency Department technician to assist physicians and RNs with patient care. The role includes phlebotomy, transport, monitoring, EHR documentation, and collaboration across care teams in a fast-paced ED environment.

• Basic computer skills and ability to work with Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients and their families.
• Must maintain skill and recertification as required by regulation and organization.
• Ability to effectively manage time and priorities.
• High level of attention to detail.

• Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g.DNV, CARF or others).

Responsabilidades

• Assists physicians and registered nurses in patient care by performing phlebotomy, transporting patients, and monitoring vital signs.
• Documents information and communicates observations to the registered nurse.
• Processes daily patient charges and related procedures through the EHR.
• Collaborates with physicians to support communications required to facilitate patient care and coordinates communications.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment following safety policies and precautions.
• Monitors equipment and troubleshoots minor problems; arranges repairs for major malfunctions.
• Performs patient positioning and transport duties with safe lifting and technique.
• Provides age-appropriate care and supports age-specific patient needs as described in department policies.
