Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated team member for Emergency Department support in Libertyville, IL. The role includes phlebotomy, patient transport, vital sign monitoring, and assisting physicians and nurses with clinical tasks. Strong documentation and communication with the care team are required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and patient care duties.
• Documentation and communication of observations to RN.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform patient handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and nurses with technical patient care activities.
• Documents procedures and communicates patient status to the RN.
• Processes daily patient charges and related procedures in the EHR.
• Collaborates with physicians to facilitate patient care communications (phone, paging, EMS, etc.).
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and follows safety policies.
