Job summary

Cognito LLC a Planned Systems International joint venture seeks a Pharmacy Technician for the T. Don Hutto Detention Center in Taylor, TX. This PRN role supports IHSC operations, providing a full range of pharmacy services under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities include medication preparation, dispensing, and ensuring compliance with ICE IHSC directives. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 1 year of experience, BLS certification, and the ability to pass a background

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Maintains BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical nomenclature, formulas, strengths and dosage forms.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties related to preparation and dispensing of medication orders.
• Supports pharmacist in ensuring accuracy and compliance with IHSC policies.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and accurate records.
• Assists with inventory, stock levels and medication storage.
• Works in a multi-cultural environment and communicates effectively in English.
