Job summary

Cognito LLC a Planned Systems International (PSI) joint venture seeks a PRN Pharmacy Technician to support IHSC at the T. Don Hutto Detention Center in Taylor, TX.

The role provides safe delivery of high-quality health care to detainees, under IHSC governance and PSI guidance, with flexible hours and on-site responsibilities. Responsibilities include dispensing, patient care within scope of practice, and collaboration with pharmacists.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Maintains BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Ability to communicate proficiently in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties related to preparation and dispensing of medication orders.
• Maintains accurate records and inventory for medications and supplies.
• Ensures HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
• Assists pharmacists and coordinates with clinical staff as needed.
• Responds to medical emergencies when required.
