Job summary
Cognito LLC, a Resolution Think joint venture, seeks a PRN Pharmacy Technician to support the ICE Health Services Corps at the Houston Processing Center in Houston, TX. You will provide a full range of pharmacy services, ensure policy compliance, and assist in preparation, dispensing, inventory, and record-keeping under pharmacist supervision.
The role requires 1+ year as a Pharmacy Technician, HS diploma or GED, and BLS. This is a PRN on-site position with variable hours and shifts.
Qualifications
- Pharmacy tech with knowledge of drug nomenclature, formulas, strengths, and dosage forms.
- Knowledge of HIPAA/Privacy Act and PII handling.
- Experience using electronic health records and basic Microsoft Office.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties related to preparation and dispensing of medication orders.
- Maintain compliance with IHSC Pharmaceutical Services Directive and Guide.
- Assist in inventory management and order placement.
- Coordinate with pharmacist for prescription clarification and problem resolution.
- Record keeping and reporting of workload and expenditures.
