Job summary

WellSpan Hospitals in Pennsylvania seeks a Medical Technologist/MLT/MLS for the Day Shift (7A–7P). The PRN position requires technical lab work and patient care across laboratory areas, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role includes specimen collection/analysis, quality control, and collaboration with departments to maintain integrated lab services. Travel to multiple WellSpan locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Physical Sciences or Medical Laboratory Science required.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Market-Specific qualifications include Pennsylvania and Las Vegas market criteria for MLS/MLT certification/licenses and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks and tests in all laboratory areas following protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and hospital standards.
• Collects and processes specimens using established protocols and knowledge.
• Performs quality control, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments and reagents.
• Validates and delivers test results and assists with troubleshooting and QA.
• Maintain safety practices and infection control measures; protect patient privacy and data.
