Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures and deliver high-quality imaging within a collaborative radiology team. The role focuses on patient safety, accurate documentation, and ALARA principles in a busy department.

The position requires an accredited radiologic technology program, a high school diploma, and at least 1 year of radiology experience, with ARRT certifications and BLS. Join a supportive health system in Georgia.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography)
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines while maintaining diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely; apply ALARA principles to minimize patient dose.
• Maintain rooms and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and prepare patients to reduce anxiety using clear communication.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and complete final documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies as needed.
• Support department workflow and maintain supply levels.
