Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to perform high quality CT studies while ensuring patient safety. Responsibilities include pre-screening, image quality, and effective communication with radiologists and staff.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT CT or NMTCB CT certification, a state license where required, and CPR certification. Training and support for new technologists may be provided, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• ARRT registration required for CT; NMTCB CT acceptable if ARRT not available.
• State license in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Produce high quality diagnostic CT images.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and customers.
• Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
