Job summary

Akumin is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT studies while ensuring patient safety and clear communication with radiologists. The role includes training new technologists and patient coordinators as needed.

Qualified candidates are ARRT-registered or NMTCB-certified, hold a state license, CPR certification, and have strong customer service and multitasking skills. Background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered CT technologist or NMTCB-certified CT technologist, with state licensing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• Experience with radiology imaging and performance of CT studies.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic CT images.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot CT scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).
