Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and supporting equipment in a high-volume Radiology department in Kannapolis, NC. The role requires ARRT certification (or NMTCB) with CT registry within one year of hire, and BLS.

You will perform exams, ensure patient safety, and assist Radiologists in procedures. The position offers PRN scheduling with variable hours, cross‑functional teamwork, and adherence to radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry in CT within one year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders; refer discrepancies to Radiologist.
• Identify patients and explain procedures; prepare patients for exams.
• Review medical history and correlate data with exam results.
• Perform CT scanning from start to finish and document results.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and record type/amount.
• Assess image quality and consult Radiologist for any issues.
• Provide basic patient care and participate in emergencies as needed.
• Operate radiology computer system for orders and charging.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and assist in related procedures.
