Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Control Desk Specialist (PRN) to manage patient communications, scheduling add-on and emergent cases, and transportation coordination. You will be a key administrative resource handling calls from patients, staff, physicians, and other departments with HIPAA-compliant professionalism.

The role requires healthcare-related education or experience and a willingness to work in a dynamic hospital environment with varying hours.

Competenze

Healthcare related associate or bachelor's degree desirable.
Work experience in a hospital procedural setting preferred.

Mansioni

Sending for patients, communicating with the nursing unit to determine transportation to the Procedure Room, and contacting the transporter.
Handle multiple phone calls related to scheduling add-on and emergent cases from residents/surgeons and other departments.
Maintain detailed transportation tracking records.
Coordinate supply needs for Procedure Rooms and Labor & Delivery.
Contact the Surgical Services Scheduling Center about case cancellations for current/next day and communicate changes.
Coordinate with Clinical Coordinators and Charge Nurse to ensure the daily schedule runs smoothly.
