Responsibilities include coordinating transportation to the Procedure Room, handling high volumes of calls, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant communication with patients and staff; a High School diploma is required, with healthcare related degrees desirable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Healthcare related associate or bachelor's degree desirable.
• Work experience in a hospital procedural setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Send for patients and coordinate transportation to the Procedure Room.
• Handle scheduling and posting add-on and emergent cases from residents/surgeons.
• Maintain transportation tracking records.
• Coordinate supply needs for Procedure Rooms and Labor & Delivery.
• Contact the Surgical Services Scheduling Center about cancellations for current and next day.
• Assist the Charge Nurse to ensure daily schedule runs smoothly.
• Print pick lists and patient stickers when requested.
• Monitor Procedure Room and scrub access for third-party vendors.
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and healthcare providers per HIPAA.
• Obtain patient and surgeon data for emergent OB/GYN cases from Birth Center.
