Job summary

Atrium Health Cleveland - Lab is seeking a PRN phlebotomy technician to cover various shifts, including nights and weekends. This part-time role supports phlebotomy, specimen processing, and patient registration in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The position requires attention to detail, strong safety practices, and the ability to work with hospital information systems; training will be provided for new staff and students in the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Ability to work accurately with laboratory procedures and safety standards.
• Familiarity with LIS and routine lab testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood via venipuncture and capillary puncture accurately.
• Process nonblood specimens in a timely manner.
• Assist with specimen preparation, receipt, and transport.
• Perform patient registration and provide phone support.
• Maintain documentation and proper labeling of specimens.
• Maintain PPE and sterile technique; follow safety policies.
