Job summary

Kiawah Island Club invites applications for a private prep cook to assist our in-house Chef in a quaint, upscale kitchen at Two Meeting Street Inn in downtown Charleston. You will prep, cook and plate breakfast items and small bites for daily service and happy hour, with shifts ranging mornings to evenings.

The role requires multitasking in a small house kitchen, interaction with club members, and execution of Chef's recipes when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel/bed & breakfast or banquet/catering environments preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a small house kitchen and maintain a clean, professional work area.
• Willingness to interact with club members in a courteous, businesslike manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prepping, cooking and serving a wide range of breakfast items and small bites for happy hour.
• Plan, prep and execute recipes from Head Chef with upscale plating.
• Grocery shopping, dishwashing, and maintaining a polished kitchen and prep area.
• Interact with Club Members professionally and support a small team in a busy, open kitchen.
