Water Grill in Southern California is seeking an energetic events assistant to support the Private Event Manager and Sales Manager in planning, setting up, and executing large parties and special occasions to our standards and guest expectations.

You will help coordinate menus, AV requirements, room layouts, and billing, while overseeing crewmembers during events. Shifts include day and evening hours, with growth opportunities in a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old to serve alcohol.
• 1 year of service experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• High school graduate, some college preferred.
• Current Food Handler’s Card.
• Ability to communicate verbal and written English with Guests, management and crewmembers.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of table numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, dress code, and wine list.
• Proficient in POS and cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event details, including menus, AV, and room layout.
• Oversee crewmembers during events and coordinate schedules.
• Distribute information to departments and follow up with guests.
• Maintain organized client files and capture repeat business.
• Gather sales leads and share with Event/Sales Manager.
• Support marketing efforts via social media and ads.
• Participate in Captain Program for events at both locations.
