Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hospitality sales experience.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in clear English.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Meticulously organized and highly communicative.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with reservation, POS, and guest experience platforms.
  • Ability to multi-task and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new clients and call past and current clients to promote events and catering.
  • Prepare client proposals and negotiate prices within booking guidelines.
  • Coordinate event details with GM, Executive Chef, and operating partners.
  • Maintain and organize all client and event files; ensure deposits and contracts are signed.
  • Keep up with menu and wine changes; collaborate on event menus and staffing.
  • Attend weekly managers' meetings to update on upcoming private parties.
  • Produce monthly sales reports and forecasts for the assigned area.
  • Ensure client satisfaction during events and follow up for future bookings.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated restaurant Events Sales Manager to coordinate and organize events, private dining, and collaborations for highly sophisticated clientele. This position is responsible for outreach to potential clients, generating new opportunities and efficiently coordinating the execution of the event with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and operating partners. We seek a candidate with strong communication skills that is equally comfortable generating new clients and reporting to management and colleagues

Your Responsibilities:
  • Generate new clients and identify/call on past and current clients directly to constantly promote events and catering functions.
  • Monitor calls, handle inquiries, and provide client proposals in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and organize all client and event files with up-to-date information.
  • Negotiate prices and arrangements with clients, draw up contracts, and secure client’s signature and deposit within approved booking guidelines.
  • Remain abreast of all menu and wine list changes at the restaurant. Work with the Executive Chef to establish event menus, the General Manager to ensure staffing pars, and Sommelier to ascertain appropriate wines for parties and events.
  • Attend the managers' meetings each week to update management on upcoming private parties.
  • Entertain clients in accordance with established company (and building) policies and guidelines.
  • Be in the know of major events in the city. Attend all possible networking events to prospect and qualify new business.
  • Ensure that the requisitions, equipment, supplies and services needed for each function correspond to the client’s specifications, and fit within the approved booking guidelines.
  • Check with the client during the event to ensure satisfaction and to respond to any additional requests. If necessary, continually assist staff during the entire event to ensure all details are carried out according to client’s specifications.
  • Prepare accurate bill to be presented to the client and ensure payment collection is fulfilled properly.
  • Produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility.
  • Promote teamwork by continuously communicating with restaurant management teams, accounting management, and other key company personnel.
  • Work closely with restaurant departments to facilitate services agreed upon by clients and achieve maximum results.
  • Handle complaints regarding private dining and events and take appropriate action to ensure client satisfaction in accordance with departmental policies and guidelines.
  • Respond to guest inquiries in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Follow up with clients after departure to attain guest loyalty and secure future bookings.
  • Understand and perform to the company's Mission Statement and Core values.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Keep all areas clean and organized at all times.
  • Be part of a team. Work together and be attentive to each other’s needs on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment; assisting fellow team members as situations arise.
  • Embodies the standards of the Restaurant Brand by displaying professionalism in all forms of communication.
  • Attend all meetings required.

Your Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of hospitality sales experience Must be able to speak, read, and write in clear English
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a diverse group with personnel at all levels
  • Meticulously organized and highly communicative
  • Ability to perform with only general instruction on new assignments and minimal direction
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Working knowledge of various Reservation, Point of Sale & Guest Experience Platforms
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours, as needed
  • Unquestionable integrity and discretion; outstanding judgement
