Job summary

IQ-EQ in Chicago is seeking a Senior Associate for Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting within CFO Services. You will provide outsourced CFO support to hedge funds and private equity clients, overseeing financial operations, reporting, and collaboration with auditors, administrators and service providers.

In this role you will contribute to financial modeling, NAV reviews, investor statements, and preparing fund financials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation preferred.
• 4+ years in the alternative investment management industry; public accounting a plus.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; strong attention to detail and multitasking.
• Independent, hardworking, self-starter with reliability, punctuality and personable demeanor.
• Strong accounting/analytical skills; proficient with MS Office; familiarity with QuickBooks, OpenAir, Bill.com and Expensify is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with auditors, administrators, HR/payroll and other providers while delivering outsourced CFO services for Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds.
• Collaborate with team and clients, providing daily operational support and participating in ad-hoc projects, including financial modeling and analysis.
• Review NAVs, allocations, investor statements, reconciliations, expense schedules, management fee calculations and incentive allocations for accuracy.
• Prepare fund and management company financial statements; maintain accounting practices and research accounting principles; advise clients on improvements.
• Coordinate client onboarding tasks such as opening brokerage and bank accounts; arrange and participate in regular conference calls to support engagement.
