Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking a Senior Associate for Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting (CFO Services) in Dallas to provide outsourced CFO support to hedge funds and private equity clients, overseeing accounting operations, reporting, and collaboration with auditors, administrators, and service providers.

You will perform financial modeling, NAV review, investor reporting, and prepare fund and management company financial statements while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 4+ years in the alternative investment management industry; public accounting a plus.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with QuickBooks/OpenAir/Bill.com/Expensify is a plus.

Responsibilities

• You’ll liaise with auditors, administrators, HR/payroll, and other service providers while delivering outsourced CFO services to Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds.
• You’ll collaborate with team members and clients, providing daily operational support and participating in ad-hoc projects, including financial modeling and analysis.
• You’ll review NAVs, allocations, investor statements, reconciliations, expense schedules, management fee calculations, and incentive allocations to ensure accuracy.
• You’ll prepare fund and management company financial statements, maintain accounting practices, research accounting principles, and advise clients on improvements.
• You’ll coordinate client onboarding tasks such as opening brokerage and bank accounts, while arranging and participating in regular conference calls to support engagement.
