Job summary

State Street is seeking an AVP for Fund Accounting & Administration to lead a team delivering accounting and administrative services for alternative investment clients. The role focuses on income allocation, fee calculations, and capital events processing, ensuring timely NAV reporting and strong client satisfaction.

You will oversee onboarding of funds, adherence to internal policies, and cross-functional collaboration with tax, operations, and reporting teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 5–6 years of Private Equity experience preferred.
• Experience with alternative investment asset classes and complex fund structures.
• Strong communication and management skills.
• Ability to thrive under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a growing team delivering accounting and administration for one or more client relationships.
• Allocate income to investors and determine fees per waterfall provisions.
• Oversee portfolio- and fund-level accounting and NAV reporting.
• Lead onboarding of existing funds and launch of new funds.
• Ensure client satisfaction and adherence to policies/regulations.
• Design technology solutions for complex reporting needs.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and participate in strategic groups.
• Recruit, hire, and develop staff to their full potential.
