Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking an AVP, Fund Accounting & Administration, to lead a skilled team delivering accounting and admin services for alternative investments. You will allocate income, determine fees, and manage capital events across multiple funds, ensuring timely NAV reporting.

You will onboard new funds, maintain compliance, and drive process improvements while exploring cross-sell opportunities. A strong accounting background in PE is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–6 years of Private Equity experience.
• Experience with alternative investment asset classes, complex fund structures and fee calculations desired.
• CPA qualification is favourable but not required.
• Experience with Investran or Geneva favourable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a growing team delivering accounting and administrative services for one or more alt investment client relationships.
• Allocate income to investors and determine management and incentive fees per waterfall provisions.
• Process capital events such as capital calls and distributions.
• Oversee portfolio and fund level accounting including NAV reporting.
• Lead onboarding of existing client funds and launch of new funds.
• Ensure compliance with policies and external regulations and design tech-enabled reporting solutions.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and participate in strategic working groups.
• Recruit, hire, and develop staff to realize their full potential.
