Job Summary

Utilize technology and applied learning in a virtual Omni-channel environment to provide superior, seamless customer experiences in an efficient and cost-effective manner. This role involves performing banking duties and overseeing financial activities for Private Wealth clients.

Job Description

Accountability: Building customer relationships in targeted market segments:

  • Own the primary relationship with clients, acting as their main contact point, and collaborate with specialists to ensure clients experience our full value proposition.
  • Achieve contact strategies based on client segmentation of your portfolio.
  • Respond to and execute immediate client requests, understanding their needs.
  • Generate new business through interactions with current and prospective clients, ensuring smooth onboarding of new clients.
  • Retain clients by applying appropriate remedial actions when necessary.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction scores by providing quality service aligned with our value proposition.
  • Work seamlessly with the sales support team to enable support for your portfolio.

Accountability: Deepen client relationships by meeting individual needs and achieving income targets:

  • Prepare weekly performance discussions with your manager to review client contact plans, opportunities, successes, and support needs.
  • Review and negotiate pricing structures in line with policy to ensure product profitability.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell products within campaign parameters, ensuring compliance with FAIS, FICA, and NCA regulations.
  • Drive portfolio income growth through lead action, timely client reviews, and service requests.

Accountability: Asset protection through risk and credit assessment:

  • Maintain transparency and open dialogue with clients regarding credit requirements, providing well-articulated motivations and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate and drive client reviews to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure client arrangements comply with credit guidelines and communicate with credit teams about special arrangements.
  • Own client risk management by adhering to regulatory and compliance frameworks.

Accountability: Colleague and personal development:

  • Act as backup for other team members during absences or peak times.
  • Stay informed about industry developments to support excellent client service and identify risks or opportunities.
  • Maintain CPD hours and complete required training on compliance, risk, systems, products, and roles.
  • Participate in segment-specific initiatives to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Align personal performance with Absa’s values and vision.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies.
