AVP & Adjustment Manager - Bank Operations

Location: Multiple Locations (Remote within the Bank's footprint, with occasional in-person meetings)

Market: Wheeling

Work Hours per Week: 37.5

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years banking experience including banking operations, money movement, and/or exceptions processing
  • Strong knowledge of exceptions processing preferred
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role required
Job Description

Summary: Responsible for managing the Adjustments area within Money Movement, overseeing deposit adjustments and item processing, supervising teams, and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and timely. Collaborates with team members to drive efficiency and customer service excellence.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Conduct interviews, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee discipline in accordance with organizational policies and laws.

Interpersonal Skills: Maintain professional demeanor, communicate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and interact across all organizational levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team, ensuring accurate and timely task completion
  • Handle staff hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Oversee daily operations of adjustment items and deposit review processes
  • Resolve complex issues, develop cross-training programs, and improve processes through automation and scalability
  • Maintain process documentation, provide staff training, and monitor metrics for continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and other regulatory requirements
Other Requirements
  • Adhere to banking regulations and complete required compliance training
  • Demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of FIS IBS application is preferred
  • Ability to learn new banking systems and work independently to meet deadlines
