Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Privacy Engineering Manager to lead a team building scalable privacy platforms, policy systems, automation, and validation loops across product and infrastructure development.

You will drive privacy by design using AI-assisted review, reusable policy artifacts, and automation while collaborating with legal, compliance, data, and product teams to deliver practical privacy solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical field or equivalent with security/privacy experience.
• 8+ years in security/privacy; or advanced degree with 7+ years; or PhD with 4+ years.
• 1+ year of technical leadership or engineering management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team building privacy platforms, policy systems, automation, and validation loops across product and infrastructure.
• Scale privacy by design through AI-assisted review and reusable policy artifacts.
• Build machine-readable privacy policy, governance, and enforcement mechanisms for engineers and platforms.
• Partner with product, infrastructure, security, legal, compliance, and data to deliver privacy solutions.
• Guide data use decisions, access, sharing, retention, and AI/ML system privacy tradeoffs.
• Enable product innovation within strong privacy boundaries and enforcement.
• Coach engineers and raise the quality bar to foster technical excellence.
