Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead multiple engineering teams building privacy-preserving AI systems for consumer devices. You will partner with Product, Design, Legal, Policy, and Research to drive the technical strategy and execution for responsible AI architectures with a focus on privacy, accessibility, and trust.

You will balance on-device and cloud processing, establish technical standards, and grow engineering leaders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• 3+ years of software engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years of technical leadership across the software lifecycle.
• 1+ years of distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++.
• 1+ years of service-oriented architecture experience.
• 1+ years of distributed programming experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead 14+ engineers across multiple trust-domain teams (privacy, accessibility, AI safety, transparency).
• Partner with PMs, TPMs, Legal, Policy, Research, Design, and Data Science teams.
• Develop long-term technical strategies for trust in ambient computing.
• Drive adoption of trust standards across Amazon’s device businesses.
• Balance innovation with sustainable, maintainable systems and evolving regulations.
