Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Privacy Engineer to embed privacy into ads ranking and targeting systems. You’ll partner with engineering, product, legal, security, and data teams to translate privacy requirements into practical controls that protect users while maintaining product utility.

You will lead privacy reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments across products, data flows, and APIs, using privacy-preserving approaches and AI-enabled tooling for scalable security.

Qualifications

• Experience with privacy reviews and threat modeling for products or services.
• Understanding of privacy-preserving techniques (diff privacy, anonymization, cryptography).
• Strong collaboration across engineering, product, legal, and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement privacy controls for production systems.
• Lead privacy reviews and risk assessments for data flows, APIs and designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce privacy risk from design to deployment.
• Evaluate privacy-preserving approaches for ML and embeddings.
