Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Supervisor III to lead the maintenance department at a 750-bed facility. The role supervises journey-level staff across buildings, utility and mechanical trades, and an offender labor force, while overseeing preventive maintenance and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Documented work knowledge of commercial/industrial maintenance.
• Knowledge of methods, practices, tools and materials used in general maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and mechanical trades.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships in a diverse environment with knowledge of building, plumbing and electrical codes, environmental regulations, OSHA requirements, and MSDS information.
• Competent in understanding schematics, blueprints, and as-built drawings, and drafting technical drawings.
• Knowledge of project management, including estimating materials and costs for repair and construction.
